About
About Florida Roofing Professionals and how we list roofers
Florida Roofing Professionals is a directory of Florida roofing contractors, organized by county and city. It starts from the state's own license records. Every listing says where its facts came from and when we checked them, so you can confirm them yourself.

How we list
How a roofer gets listed
Five steps, the same for every county. A business that fails a step isn't listed.
Find roofing businesses, county by county
We start from public Google Maps business profiles for roofing contractors in each county.
Match each one to a state license
A business is listed only when its name matches a Florida DBPR license record in the same county and ZIP code, and the license status is Current, Active. Matches we can't confirm are left out.
Check the state's discipline lists
We search DBPR's published contractor discipline reports for the business name and each license number, and say which years we searched.
Add business details
Address, phone, hours and service categories come from the business's public profile. An email address is shown only if the company publishes it on its own website. License holders' personal addresses are never shown.
Label and date everything
Each fact is marked as the state record or as the company's own statement, with the date we last checked it.
What a listing means
What we check and what we don't
We check
- License number, type and status on the Florida DBPR record
- The date a license was first issued, and when it expires
- Entries in DBPR's published contractor discipline lists (years stated on each listing)
- That the business address on the license matches the business profile
We don't check
- Insurance or workers' compensation coverage
- Workmanship, pricing or warranties
- Customer reviews from other websites
- Claims a company makes about itself. We label those as the company's own words
A listing isn't an endorsement. It tells you what the public record showed on a given date. The hiring decision is yours, and so is checking insurance, references and contract terms.
Our standard
The rules every listing follows
The license comes from the state
License number, type and status come from Florida DBPR, with the date we last checked. We never upgrade a license type.
Record and claims stay apart
What public records show is labeled as the record. What a company says about itself is labeled as its claim.
Ratings come with a method
Ratings aren't live yet. Before the first one appears, we'll publish how they work, who can rate and how disputes are handled.
Paid spots are marked
Any paid placement is labeled Sponsored where it appears. Payment never changes a rating.
Connected listings are marked
If a listed company is connected to the people who run this site, its listing says so. People connected to a listing never rate it.
Wrong listing? Tell us
Roofers can ask us to correct or remove their listing through our contact page.
Limits
Known limits of the data
- State records can lag behind real changes. Always confirm a license on myfloridalicense.com before you sign.
- Business names vary between records, so some licensed roofers may be missing until we can match them.
- Roofers are grouped by business mailing address, which can sit just outside the city it names.
- Design wind speeds come from county map layers that estimate between code map lines; treat them as approximate.
- Business hours and phone numbers come from public profiles and can change without notice.

License details
These follow the Florida DBPR record. If the state record is wrong, the fix starts with DBPR. Our listing updates at our next check.

Questions about how we work
Is Florida Roofing Professionals an independent directory?
We don't make that claim. Any listing connected to the people who run the site is labeled on that listing, and people connected to a listing never rate it.
Why isn't my roofing company listed?
Usually because we haven't reached your county yet, or your business name didn't match a Current, Active license record in the same county and ZIP code. You can ask us to add or correct your listing on our claim page.
How current is the license information?
Every listing shows the date we last checked the state record. Records can change after that date, so confirm the license on myfloridalicense.com before you sign a contract.
Why are there no star ratings?
Ratings aren't live yet. Before the first one appears, we'll publish how they work: what is rated, who can rate and how raters are checked. We don't copy star ratings from other websites.
How are sponsored listings shown?
Any paid placement is labeled Sponsored where it appears. Payment never changes a listing's license details or rating.
